arturo fermandois SANTA CRUZ  is a visual artist and architect. Born in Santiago, Chile (1989), he holds a degree in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2015). His architectural background and expertise in digital representation served as the foundation for his exploration in the visual arts. His work investigates the interplay between order and instability through geometric compositions and mathematical patterns generated using architectural software and parametric design tools. He has exhibited in galleries across Chile, the United States, and Europe, earning recognition for his precise, geometric, and technology-driven approach to perceptual structures in the environment.

statement

My work unfolds through a geometric and digital narrative that explores the intersection of mathematics, perception, and nature. With a meticulous and rational approach, I investigate the underlying complexity of the environment using architectural tools and parametric design. Simple geometries and mathematical patterns form a visual language through which I reveal the hidden structures that shape the universe.

Through carefully constructed circular compositions, I invite the viewer to reflect on the phenomena of space, time, and movement, highlighting the latent order within nature’s apparent randomness.

The concept of pattern and repetition is central to my practice. Each series examines different facets of the tension between the predictable and the unstable, the permanent and the ephemeral, through geometric layering, chromatic exploration, and rhythmic repetition. My work is a continuous exercise in observation and discovery, offering an analytical and aesthetic perspective on the complexity that structures our world.
